Art & Environment works to beautify the church in accordance with each liturgical season. They also work to maintain the health of all the indoor plants and flowers.

A&E Needs You!

Art & Environment seeks to enhance the worship experience by joining the physical space of the church to the liturgical seasons and celebrations throughout the year.  “Live flowers and plants are a symbol of our joy in Christ and express our thanksgiving for the gifts of creation.”  Members have assigned weekends for watering, pruning, and rearranging.  Plus there are larger group projects which include decorating for the larger celebrations of the church.  These larger celebrations and special times of the year include Advent, Christmas, Lent/Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, Easter, Pentecost, Ordinary Time, and Harvest.  The overall time commitment for each person includes 6 meetings per year, 3-4 weekends a year for watering and plant care, and 6-7 large projects per year.  We do not have officers, but prefer to work as a single group or several smaller groups on specific parts of the church.  Currently, our committee consists of 9 members plus a couple of others who only assist with watering and pruning.  We are always looking for new members with a green thumb and fresh ideas.
